There was a refreshing, little piece on the homo section of Sfaf.org's Magnet but the link I had is no longer active. The gist was:
- Think you're not prejudiced because you're gay, black, white, Asian, Latino, whatever? NOT!
- A sense of empathy does not "naturally" exist between minority groups.
It is what I've been saying all along. But if it doesn't come from a rainbow flag-waving (or chest baring) activist then it's the falling tree in the wood that no one hears. And, too, y'know, some people do insist on living by their delusions because they are "special." The homosexual gets hurt for it again and again; but he is too self-righteous (delusional) to ever learn from it so it's always the fault of somebody else: the escort or hustler (for not reciprocating love & passing judgement) or the Church (for not condoning the "lifestyle" and passing judgement) or Republican Party (for championing traditional marriage & passing judgement) or sports (for being macho sexist & passing judgement) or family (for being small-minded & passing judgement) or the Gov't (for not passing enough judgement i.e., legislation).
Some folks just insist on bearing crosses.
I agree, anybody can be prejudiced, anybody can be a bigot, and anybody can be a racist.
ReplyDeleteI second that.
